Perry Gene Estes

Perry Gene Estes, 59, passed away peacefully at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, KS. Perry was born in Ponca City, OK on July 17, 1963. He was the son of Norma Jean Buffalohead Estes and Bobby Gene Estes. Perry was a proud Ponca native who was soft spoken and tender hearted. He gently teased and had a sweet smile. Perry was a born again son of God who loved God, his family and life, even through the difficult times. He didn’t have all the answers to life’s problems, but had a determination to provide a stable home for his family and endure major health challenges along the way. He was an inspiration to all those who loved him. Perry was also a die hard Raiders fan and loved the Oklahoma Sooners.

David Leroy Lamb

David Leroy Lamb, age 78, passed away with his son in a small plane crash, Monday, December 5, 2022. He was born January 7, 1944 in Ponca City, OK to Hosea and Archie (Haskins) Lamb. He graduated from Ponca City High School and attended Oklahoma Tech School for aircraft mechanics. He later served in the United States Air Force then worked for United Airlines as a mechanic. He married the love of his life, Betty McCullough on November 11, 1966 and they shared one son, Christopher Lamb. The family relocated to Oklahoma where he went to work for The Oklahoman newspaper. David retired from Mustang public schools where he was maintenance supervisor over all the districts kitchens. He loved to travel, fly, and help others. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, sister Anna Mae Paisley and husband Neal and niece Cara Eaton. David is survived by his brother Joe Lamb and wife Minnie and nieces, June Solomon and husband Kurt, Melanie Lamb and Debra Lamb. A Memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

William Stephen Majors

William Stephen Majors was born in Pineville, Arkansas, on November 3, 1938. Bill passed away on December 10, 2022 in the presence of loving family. He was raised on the family farm in Garber, Oklahoma by his loving parents, Audrey Skidmore Pfrimmer and Raymond Pfrimmer. Bill graduated from Garber High School in 1956 and set out on an adventure to Chula Vista, California to work at Rohr Aircraft.

Charles Edward Kelley

Charles Edward Kelley, born June 10, 1954, passed away on November 29, 2022. Charles was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky to Thomas William and Betty Kelley. The son of an Army soldier, Charles lived in Okinawa, Germany, and many places throughout the United States. As a very young child in Okinawa, he became known to the family as “Beep”; a knick-name that would stick with him to the end. Anyone that referred to Charles as “Beep” was family or a long-time friend. After his father’s retirement from the Army the family settled in Ponca City. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1972 and immediately joined the U.S. Coast Guard.
