Larry Gene Jones, at age 81, passed from this life on February 19, 2022. Larry was born to Clarence and Myrna (Delay) Jones on December 6, 1940 in Hutchinson, Kansas, and soon after moved to Rolla, Kansas. After his father’s death, he spent many childhood summers and months with his beloved Aunt Lorene and Uncle Ray White in Elkhart, Kansas, where he developed his love for farming and the great outdoors.

Billy Don Elston of Pawnee, Oklahoma passed away on Sunday February 20,2022 at the age of 74. After several years of battling diabetes, and the after effects of several strokes he fell asleep in peace at his home in Bartlesville, OK. Billy was born in Pawnee OK, on December 03, 1947, to father Fred and Reba Elston. The second oldest of 3 siblings. He attended Pawnee public schools. where he was active in most sports, baseball being his favorite. He furthered his education at Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa. His work ethic and desire to serve his country led him to serve in the U.S. Air Force from August of 1967 to August 1971. During his service he dated Patricia Green a quiet book worm that adored Billy. They wed in October of 1967. After returning home from the military, he worked as a Geophysicist for what we now know as ConocoPhillips. Billy and Patricia moved to Ponca City, OK where they continued to raise their growing family of three girls named Sonya Lynn, Shelly, and Starla. Billy was proceeded in death by his father and mother Fred and Reba Elston, daughter Sonya Blake, son Billy Jr., brother Fred Elston, former wife Patricia Elston, granddaughter Anaya McComb. A visitation is planned for Friday

Luella Vey Buttram, age 97, former resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, in Denton, Texas. Lou was born to Glenn Otis and Valla Ellen (Lewellen) Bartgis during a family trip to Weatherford, Oklahoma on January 26, 1925. She grew up in Grainola, Oklahoma and was a graduate of Grainola High School where she played tennis and girls basketball.

Mary Dolores ‘Del’ Kotarski, a long-time resident of Ponca City, OK, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022, in Ponca City. She was 97. Viewing will be held between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Friday, February 25, 2022, at Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, with a Rosary Service at 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will take place at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 26, 2022, with Father Carson Krittenbrink officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. A reception will follow.
