Tony was born on January 20, 1959, in Ellinwood, KS, to Gaylen Raymond and Lila Ann (McElwain) Vap. He was raised in Kildare, OK. He married the love of his life, Kym Lamm on September 5, 1998 in Eureka Springs, AR. They made their home and raised their four girls in Ponca City, OK. He was a residential painter for many years. More recently, Tony and Kym became licensed Medical Marijuana growers and started their business, Jagged Leaf Organics.

Tony was an avid sports fan and in his spare time you could find him on the sidelines of his kids and grandkids sporting events. He was their biggest fan and will always be remembered for his larger than life personality. Tony had a gift with children. All kids seemed to be drawn to him. His passion was helping in Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and various church camps. You would always find him on the front row and he was truly just as excited as the kids to hear the stories or make the crafts. In the summer you would find him in the backyard, working on his pool, beer in hand and music blasting through the neighborhood. He felt his mission was to teach all kids how to swim and do cannonballs. He would always challenge you to a friendly match of pool volleyball. He loved attending concerts with his daughters and wife. Tony’s greatest joy was his family. He had an adoration for life and was always up for anything fun or adventurous. He will always be remembered for his infectious smile and contagious laugh. Tony was a member of NewPoint Church.
