T. A. Rhamy passed away peacefully on July 20th, 2019 at Via Christi in Ponca City Ok at the age of 75. He lived there for over 5 years due to his battle with Dementia and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

T. A. Rhamy was born on March 20th, 1944 as the 8th of 11 children to Theodore and Martha Rhamy in Cushing OK. He spent a good portion of his childhood in an orphanage in Pryor, OK after his mother became ill. While there, he became a very skilled boxer. He was an ornery child and boxing kept him out of trouble. He always said that they allowed him to join the Navy just to get him out of there.

T. A. joined the U. S. Navy and was stationed in Japan most of his time in. T. A. was extremely proud of this and encouraged youth to do the same. T. A. was honorably discharged in 1968 and joined the reserves after.

T. A. Married Connie Rhamy and they had a daughter who died at birth and later had their only son Todd Alexander Rhamy in 1969.

In October 1969 T. A. also became a journeyman Plumber and worked for Roger A. Smith Plumbing for over 25 years. When Roger retired, T. A. then went on to travel and work for Plumber and Pipefitter Union throughout Oklahoma.

On June 20th, 1985, T. A. married the love of his life, Lucy Mae Spencer. They made their home on 20 acres off of Hunt Rd. in Osage County. They made their 20 acres a place that everyone wanted to come to, and was always welcomed.

T. A. and Lucy loved all of their grandchildren and were Grandma Lucy and Papa T. A. to many children that just adopted them. There was seldom a time that at least one of their biological or adopted grandchildren where not at their house.

T. A. was a great Papa to many and a great father to Karol Daniel and Steve Oakes even though they were not his biological children.

T. A. enjoyed the farm life and spent his time raising and riding Missouri Fox Trotters, watching and teaching the grandchildren to ride, and he also enjoyed fishing and watching western movies.

T. A. is preceded in death by his wife Lucy Mae Rhamy, and infant daughter, parents Theodore and Martha Rhamy, Siblings Ted Rhamy, Kari Griffith, Mary Petit, Robert Rhamy, Raymond Rhamy, Irene Rhamy, Willian Rhamy and John Henry Rhamy.

He is survived by his son Todd Alexander Rhamy, step daughter karol Daniel and husband Dan, Step son Steve Oakes and wife Marsha, brother Kenny Rhamy and sister Theda Amerson. Also his grandchildren Kisha Oakes, Ashley Daniel, Timothy French, Justin French, Lacy Wilson, Derek Daniel, Jeremy Dodson, Jamie Oakes, Cheyenne Oakes, Ella Oakes, and Angelina Oakes. Five great grandchildren; Christopher Gootee, Dylan Houser, Elliot Wilson, Grayson French, and Lida Mae Oakes.

Services will be at the Life Center at 1300 W. Grand Ave in Ponca City, OK at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 24th. Officiated by Larry Kitchell.
