Michael was born February 10, 1967, to Jimmy C. and Lillian “Jenny” (Kimsey) Pappan in Arkansas City. He grew and attended schools in Arkansas City, graduating from Ark City High School in 1985. After high school Michael went to work for Ark City Packing until it closed. After it’s closing, he went to Tulsa Welding School and graduated in 1992. He then went to work for Tonkawa Tank-HMT as a welder for 29 years.

On April 26, 1995, he married Jeannie Olinghouse in Arkansas City. The couple made their home in Kaw City. In 1993, Michael was blessed with a son, James Marshal Pappan. Then in 2000, Michael was blessed with another son, Daniel Alan Pappan. They all made their home in Kaw City.

Michael loved riding his motorcycles, woodworking, and messing around in his yard doing yardwork.

Survivors include his wife Jeannie; sons James and Daniel Pappan all of Kaw City, OK; sister Monice Meyer and husband Daniel of Arkansas City; sister Keegan Owen of Newkirk, OK; brother Clayton Pappan and wife Jessica of Newkirk, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews, greatnieces, and great-nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Jenny and Jimmy Pappan, two uncles Kenneth and Jerry Pappan, two cousins Lori and Keith Pappan, grandparents Daniel and Velma Davidson, Paul and Wilma Steckline, and great-aunts and uncles Dale and Edna Hamm, Melissa Harwell, Burt and Lovie Fry.

A memorial has been established for the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Contributions may be made through the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home and Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.rindt-erdman.com.
