Maxine Louise Hockenbury, 93, of Ponca City, Oklahoma died Monday, January 11, 2021, at Via Christie Nursing Home. Maxine was born June 21, 1927 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Edna Jenkins.

She was educated in Newkirk, Oklahoma. Maxine married Kenneth E. Hockenbury in Ark City, Kansas on October 12, 1946. The couple met during WW2. Together they had two children, Dennis, and Terry. She spent most of her time raising their children and home making. She later worked for Tonkawa Tribal Offices doing bookkeeping.

Survivors include her son Dennis and wife Lisa of Ponca City, OK, her grandchildren Traci Dollarhide of Arkansas, Chad Hockenbury of Colorado, and Sean Hockenbury of Ponca City. Her great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kamryn Dollarhide and kylie Hockenbury.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Edna Jenkins, her husband Kenneth, son Terry, and grandson Timmy Hockenbury.

A Graveside Service will be held in Maxine’s honor at 2pm, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery. Maxine’s services are under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel. Condolences for the family may be left online at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
