A Celebration of Life for Marian Louise Hoyer Kremeier, age 88, of Lucien, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, October 30, 2020 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church with Pastor David Reber officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Marian was born June 12,

Marian was born June 12, 1932 in Gordonville, MO to Rev. Hugo H. and Edna C. (Niemeyer) Hoyer, and passed away Friday, October 23, 2020 at home in Lucien, Ok.

She met her future husband in Walther League in Fairmont, Oklahoma and they were married January 7, 1956 in Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas. They were blessed with four children, Mark, Diane, Brenda and Paul. She worked as an administrative clerk at Vance Air Force Base until Mark was born. She taught Sunday School at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church from 1962-2017, and taught or directed Vacation Bible School for over 50 years. In 1994 she was awarded Lay Teacher of the Year for the Oklahoma District of LCMS. She was a member of the Exchangettes for many years. Marian loved to crochet and she crocheted many crosses for her students, family, and just about anyone who crossed her path. She was also a quilter and made a quilt for every family member and grandchild, as well as donating quilts or afghans to the Integris Bass Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab for the Christmas Parties.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph; brother, Robert (Bob) Hoyer; and sister, Elfrieda “Fritzie”Strickert. She is survived by her four children, Mark A. Kremeier and wife Sherri, of Ponca City, OK; Diane C. Kendall, of Lucien, OK; Brenda L. Sims and husband Robert, of Enid; and Paul S. Kremeier and wife Jeanette, of Alva, OK; five grandchildren, Justin, Amber, Erin, Travis, and Casey; two great-grandchildren, Dakota and Trace; two siblings, sister, Gloria Schueler, and brother, Elmer Hoyer as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
