Lois M. Berry (Harger) of Ponca City passed away at the age of 70 to be with our Lord and Savior at her home on Thursday August 27th surrounded by family and friends.

Lois was born March 6, 1950 in San Bernadino, California to her parents Barbara Ruth Killion and Burton Lee Harger.

Lois was raised in Fontana, California. In 1968 she started a family of her own with the first of four daughters being born in July of that year.

Lois loved the holidays/ She loved to bake, cook, and have family over to watch them enjoy what she prepared.

The job she was most proud of was raising her four daughters, which she did on her own. She loved reading her Bible and quoting scriptures and listening old hymns. She enjoyed special meals with her daughters like the tacos and burritos Jenn and Todd would make or going to Golden Coral wit Barb. These occasions always made her happy.

Lois was always willing to help anyone in need. Her faith in God carried her through many hurdles and obstacles throughout her life, of which there were many.

She enjoyed watching her family grow starting with her daughter’s significant others. If her daughters were happy, she was happy. Later her joy came from grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She loved family which you see by all the photos displayed around her house. She also loved her, always faithful companion; her dog Whitey. He followed her everywhere and laid by her side until the end.

Sooner football was always a great pastime of hers, always calling Lisa to find out when they play next.

Lois will be missed by many. She is survived by her daughters Barbie Berry, Jennifer (Todd) Miller, Crissy Berry, and LIsa (Shawn) Bocanegra also by her sweet sister Judy (Larry) Adams who’s nick name for mother was Emerick also her sisters Linda, Cheryl, and Elosie, and one brother Ricky. Also by her grand children Latisha Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, Keaton, Carston, Cherokee, and Zarah Hinkle, and Nicholas and Logan Boccanegra along with 12 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A celebration of life will be held for Lois on Thursday, September 3rd at 3pm at New Hope Christian Fellowship. 401 S. Lincoln in Ponca City with Pastor Jack Adams officiating. A private burial service will be held at a later date.
