Lawrence F. Rippe, 91, died peacefully at home in Newkirk, Okla., Monday, Oct. 12, 2020.

Lawrence was born November 18, 1928 to William and Martha Rippe in Byron, Nebraska. His family relocated to Grainola, Oklahoma when he was a young boy and on to Arkansas City, KS in 1948 where Lawrence farmed for the remainder of his life. Lawrence married Leola Oestmann in October 1954, in Chelsea, Oklahoma. They would have had their 66th wedding anniversary in just a few weeks. The couple had two sons and a beautiful life together. Lawrence was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.

Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, brother Louis, sister Helen and twin sister Florence.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leola of the home, son Randall and wife Margaret of Arkansas City, Kansas, son Maynard and wife Lori of Republic, Missouri. His grandchildren, Rachel Hoover of Columbia, Missouri, Andrew and wife Debbie of Rose Hill, Kansas, David and wife Mariah of Arkansas City, Kansas. Also mourning their “Great-Grandpa” are Alana Hoover, Preslee Grindstaff, Caroline Rippe, Oliver Rippe, Adler Rippe, Brody Rippe and his baby brother due in February.
