On Thursday, August 27th, 2020, Janice Ann Green passed away at the age of 73 in Houston, Texas.

Jan was born on August 12th, 1947, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Allen and Dorothy Carden. Early in her life, Jan and her family moved to Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was a 1965 graduate of Po-Hi and later she earned an Associate Degree at Northern Oklahoma College. Jan met and married her high school sweetheart, Wesley Green. This past June, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary.

After moving to Houston, Texas, Jan worked for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD as a para-professional at Cy-Fair High School and in the Athletic Office for nearly 20 years. After retirement, Jan and Wes were able to realize their dream of living on Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. Once there, Jan began her second career as a Pre-K teacher in Montgomery and Conroe, Texas.

Jan loved traveling, especially cruising, shopping with friends, watching the wildlife around the lake, reading, and her beloved dog, Abi.

Jan is survived by her loving husband, Wesley; her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Mike McCullough; her grandchildren, Michelle and Scott McCullough; her sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Kenny Perkey; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tommy and Carol Green; sister-in-law, Louise Lemke; sister-in-law, Anna Maria Green; nieces and nephews; and her special long-time friend, Stella Novotny.

Jan was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brian Green, and her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
