Yvonne was born on January 23, 1939, in Tonkawa, OK to Carl T. and Byrnice A. (Berkshire) Henderson. She graduated from Ponca City High School. On October 6, 1962, she married David Lee Kirch. Her marriage, the birth of her daughter, Krystal, her grandchildren, Thomas and Elaine, and getting to meet her greatgrandsons, were her fondest memories. Not to mention getting to meet Doris Day at a farmer’s market.

Yvonne loved to decorate the Christmas Tree with the family. Her trips to see relatives in Nebraska with Mildred and Bill were very special to her, as well. She enjoyed selling Avon, hosting Home Interior and Tupperware parties. Yvonne spent many hours playing card games like Uno, Skipbo and Pitch with her husband and his parents. She also loved to bowl and play dominoes. She took many trips with her family and with her sister and brother to Phoenix, Galveston, California and Tijuana. She also enjoyed ice skating at the Broadmoore Hotel.

Some of her favorite things were roller skating, dancing, country western music and Led Zepplin. She wanted to be remembered for her smile and kindness and for the love she had for her family and friends.

Yvonne was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Ponca City. She also belonged to the LWML at First Lutheran, Theda Row and Rainbow Girls. When asked what she would do differently, if able to live life again, she stressed that she “would strive harder to live according to the Bible, try not to make the same mistakes, and to be a better person, but God forgives all of our sins.”

She is survived by her daughter, Krystal Ross and her husband, Mike, of Ponca City; grandchildren, Thomas Duff of Ponca City, Elaine Duff of Stillwater, OK; great-grandchildren, Thomas Duff, II, Darren Duff; brother, Carl Henderson and his wife ,Sherry, of Illinois, several nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, her parents and a sister, Charlotte Harris.
