Body

Dale Ray Breedlove died peacefully at home on August 24, 2020. Dale was born to Rolla and Helen (Wilcher) Breedlove on March 13, 1941 in Oklahoma City, OK.

He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1959. Dale began his 30-year career with Conoco in 1963. Starting at the refinery in Ponca City, Oklahoma, he went on to manage Conoco’s Inland Marine Division headquartered in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was married to the love of his life, Penny Niemann Breedlove for more than 50 years.

Dale retired from Conoco and in 1997, he and Penny moved to Horseshoe Bay, TX. He was an avid golfer, a rabid OU Sooners fan, a lover of hysterical markers, westerns, classic cars and classic country music. Anyone who knew him will be left with the image of a strong, hard-working, selfmade man. Always with a cigar, cowboy boots and hat.

He considered his greatest accomplishments to be his children: Joe Breedlove, Amy Breedlove, Beth Breedlove Reeves and Matthew Breedlove; his 12 grandchildren and his 7 great-grandchildren. Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Rolla Breedlove. His siblings, Earl, Steve and Linda.

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bay, TX. An online guest register book and maps can be found at www.PutnamCares. com
