Cathy Ferguson, lifelong resident of Ponca City, passed away on Thursday June 17, 2021 at her home. She was 72 years of age. Cathy was the born daughter of Bill and Bertha Hall on October 26, 1948 in Oceanside California. She was a 1966 graduate of Ponca City High School. She met the love of her life Robert Ferguson when she was 13 years old in youth group at First Baptist Church. They were married on Sept. 1, 1967, at First Baptist Church of Ponca City.

She loved her family above all earthly things and enjoyed following her children and grandchildren in their endeavors. She loved quilting, sewing, IPad games, gardening, traveling to Branson Missouri in her motorhome with her husband Bob, as well as enjoying lunch every Thursday with her ladies group aka “GG girls”, from church.

She was active in adult Sunday school helping her husband teach as well as many youth events. She was always ready and willing to serve wherever she was needed. She helped cook for many church events and helped organize meal trains and funeral dinners. She loved to serve the people around her.

She was employed at Conoco while her husband obtained a college degree. She also worked for Dr. Potter as well as First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her father Bill Hall of Ponca City, two sons Jay Ferguson and wife Kim Ferguson of Ponca City, Scott Ferguson and wife Natasha Ferguson of Broken Arrow, and one daughter Becky Pontious and husband Benny Pontious, brother William Hall and wife Jaynell Hall of Ponca City, sister Sharon Cooper and husband Bill Cooper of Northlake Texas. Cathy also leaves behind 18 precious grandchildren, Jessica, Katie, Kori, Jayden, Juli anna, Tyler, Megan, Blake, Camden, Briley, Mckynna, Tate, Callen, Bryan, Mitchell, Gavin, Aiden, and Gracie. Also eight precious great grandkids; Emry, Aubree, Addison, Braelyn, Hudson, Samuel, Denver, and Elena.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Bob, mother Bertha Hall, and great granddaughter Kynzlee Penka.

A funeral service will be held at 10am Tuesday, June 22, at the Worship Center of First Baptist Church Ponca City with Michael Taylor, pastor, presiding. Burial will follow in Longwood Cemetery under the direction of Grace Memorial Chapel.

Casket Bearers are her 6 oldest grandsons; Tyler Ferguson, Blake Ferguson, Camden Ferguson, Briley Ferguson, Mitchell Penka, Bryan Penka, Gavin Blakey, and Aiden Blakey. Honorary casket beaters are all remaining grandkids and great grandkids.
