They owned and operated Ray’s Island Tan in Blackwell for many years. Katy was a member and past President of the American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and a longtime member of Immanuel Baptist Church where she retired as Church Secretary after 12 years. Katy is survived by her loving husband Charles and four children; Shelly Nicholson Lupo (Dan) of Michigan, Linda Nicholson Thorp (Dan) of Ponca City, Victor Nicholson (Michaella) of Texas, and Christopher Nuttle of California; 5 grandchildren; Nathaniel Bonewell, Jessica Muchmore (Andrew), Bonnie Dempsey, Daniel Lupo (Lindsey), Cory Nicholson (Alex); and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn McKinnis and Louise Akers.

Katy loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed all church activities, traveling, antiques, music and movies.
