Brenda Lea Matthews Beard, 40, of Ponca City, OK peacefully succumbed to her battle with cancer at her home September 24, 2020. Surrounded by her loving devoted husband and three children by her side. A Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at St Luke’s Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor David Frees officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. There will be no viewing, but friends may come to the funeral home to sign the guest register. Facemasks are encouraged

Brenda was born August 4, 1980, in Ponca City, OK to James E. and Roxanne (Robbins) Matthews. Growing up and living her life in Ponca City, OK., she started her career with her Farther in the Oil and Gas industry for Rice Painting in the Ponca City Conoco Phillips Refinery, furthering her career working as a Buyer for OneOK in Medford, OK. Brenda was a wife, mother, sister, and the most loving friend this world was ever blessed with.

Brenda loved her children, her family, and friends. She loved music, dancing, and basketball. She was the light and life of her loved ones, always bringing joy and laughter to those she crossed paths with. Brenda is a true blessing and her life impacted many.

She is survived by her husband Parker Beard and their three children Ryley, Kyce, and Tallen Beard.

Father Jimmy Matthews, sister Billie Crowell and family, and brother James Matthews and family.

Sister’s-in-law, Stacie Beard McKinnis, Misty Beard McKinnis, and Bridget Beard Howe and their families and Brother-in-law, Darin Beard and family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Roxanne Robbins Matthews

Pallbearers will be Josh Pappan, Adam Hobbs, Nate Flippin, Darin Delaney, Corey Fisher, and Chad Chandler. Honorary Pallbearers: Justin Boyer, Joe LeClair, Sabino Reyes, John Dice, Joe Schiltz, Bobby Soutter, DJ Combs, Trey Brandscum, Robbie Kirk, and Johnathan Hooper.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Crematory.
