Bob Larry Barnett, 76 of Arkansas City died Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his residence.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Bob was born October 8, 1944 in Ponca City, OK to J.R. Barnett and Evangeline (Romyue) Barnett. He graduated from Ponca City High school in 1963. On December 31, 1985 he married Hilma Dominguez. Bob was a conductor for Santa Fe Railroad for 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Hilma Barnett of the home; daughters, Julie Fleming of Ponca City, OK and Krista Henning of Ponca City, OK; step children, David Short of Arkansas City, KS, James Short of Purcell, OK, John Short of Kaw City, OK, and Rena Morris of Richmond, IN; sister Delores “Dolly” and husband Robert Martin of West Lake Village, California; sister-in-law Shirley Barnett of Dexter, Kansas; grandchildren, Bryce, Steven, Dalton, Joshua, Britnee, Sadie, Jamison, Jeff, Joey, Damon, Ryan and Kiana and several great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.R. Barnett and Evangeline Barnett, and brother Don Barnett
