Burbank First Baptist Church News

I wish that I knew everything that there was to know about the sale of the old Burbank School building. I was told this past Sunday that the building has been purchased by an unknown group. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for improvement in the Burbank infrastructure because of the purchase. I was also informed that the old hotel building across from the church has been purchased by someone and is in the process of making significant changes. We are a small community with very few residents and modern conveniences. However, what we are is a community that has some great families who try to take care of one another. As the only church in the community, we are afforded the opportunity to provide ministry to people from all religious backgrounds. We have a fellowship hall that is used by numerous individuals for family gatherings, birthday parties, and group meetings. God has blessed this body of believers and will continue to do so as future changes happen within the community. The town needs a financial boost and hopefully these changes in the community will help in some way. As a church family we place our faith in the Lord’s provision for the community. We recently made significant changes to the worship area by updating the ceiling tile and installing new lighting and fans. We can now see the light. LOL in modern vernacular. If you what to check us out, we meet for worship at 11 am every Sunday morning. We also have a Bible study with prayer on Wednesday at 6 pm. It isn’t that far to drive for a wonderful blessing and a great time of worship and fellowship.
