Adoptable Pets

Body
This week’s cat of the week is the beautiful baby girl, Butternut, you see pictured. Butternut is a an almost 2 year old domestic shorthair that is looking for her forever home. She has been a resident at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society since the last day of March. Butternut came to NOKHS as an owner surrender, to no fault of her own, and hasn’t had anyone pick her to be their forever family member. She is an amazing cat, so her situation is near baffling. Butternut is very sweet and loving, always wanting to be pet and loved on, but she is also incredibly curious. Every new thing is interesting to her. She loves treats as well, and would do about anything for them. Butternut is a wonderful cat and would make someone really happy if they just gave her a chance. Mr. Booty Hamsandwich, nicknamed Hammy or Ham, has become a quick favorite with the workers at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society. With all their praise for the dog, I knew he would be the perfect dog of the week. Mr. Booty Hamsandwich is a year old Border Collie mix that has been with NOKHS since the end of April. With this breed, it is easy to say that they are one of the smartest breeds of dogs there is, and Ham is a good example. Even at his young age, with no real training, Ham is already picking up the basic commands and manners that you want in a pup. Ham even walks well on a leash, even when he is excited. He is an incredible dog with amazing manners and an even better personality. While he is playful and excited easily, he also listens well and is a big cuddler. Mr. Booty Hamsandwich is great with other dogs and loves making new friends, both canine and human alike. He is very sweet, loving, and eager to please. Ham is looking for someone who will love and take care of him for the rest of his life. If you would like more information on these two babies, or any other animal at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society, you can visit their website at www.nokhs.com, call at 580-767-8877, or visit the Humane Society at 900 W Prospect Ave. (Photos by Dailyn Emery)
