We will soon be spending time giving thanks for all the many wonderful blessings that God has graciously provided His creation. God’s inspiration from Psalm 100 comes to mind during Thanksgiving. “Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.” Verse 1 starts with the word “Make”. Verbalize your giving of thanks. Verse 2 starts with the word “Serve”. You were place in the world to provide service to God’s creation. Verse 3 starts with the word “Know”. Knowledge reveals how wonderful it is to be such a very special part of God’s wonderful creation. Verse 4 starts with the word “Enter”. Remember to come into God’s presence with praise and adoration for how He has blessed your life. Verse 5 reveals God’s everlasting goodness to you as one of His creations. Burbank First Baptist is so blessed to have place where the faithful can come and offering continuing praise with thanksgiving for God’s mercy endures forever. Praying that you each have a place of worship that honors God’s goodness and lovingkindness. By the way, why not give thanks all the time. God has done, is doing and will continue to do much for all those that are faithful.
