Arthur’s Bar and Grill hosts live music and good times

Body
Hidden on a side road in Blackwell sits Arthur’s, a bar and grill that exudes that hometown feel for all of its patrons. At the beginning of this year, rumors began to fly that a new business would be taking up residence in the old Harvey’s, a butcher shop on the corner of 3rd St. and W Dewey Ave. Those rumors were confirmed when the Arthur’s Facebook page announced that they were bringing a new bar and grill to the location. New owners Brandon and Sabrina Ward, made their dreams a reality when they purchased the building. They named the bar and grill Arthur’s after Brandon’s grandfather and the rest will go down in the history of Blackwell.

Burbank First Baptist Church News

Body
Our church family is grieving the loss of two church members in the past five weeks. We have been blessed by the lives of these two men. Both individuals have known Jesus as Lord and Savior for many years. They found a way to use their talents to service the Lord by doing His will in their lives. We are thankful for the example that they left us with and will greatly miss them. Both were prepared to make the long sought after journey to be in the Lord’s presence. We are happy for their personal commitment to serve as best they could during the time they were blessed with. We strive to continue serving the Lord as best we can. Those attending Burbank First Baptist will continue to serve when and where they can to make the worship experience that others receive direct them to Heaven also. Each day is a blessing, and we are to use it to show people there is hope beyond life here on earth. The Psalmist said it well in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it.” The Apostle Paul wrote to his friends in Philippi, Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again, I say, rejoice.” To his friends in Thessalonica, he wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:16, “Rejoice evermore.” Therefore, we will continue to serve the Lord with gladness because we rejoice that we can serve a risen Savior.
