Thirdly, Volunteer coach Justice Cole Circle, 23, of Blackwell, has been charged with Lewd or Indecent Acts to a Child Under 16 and Soliciting Sexual Conduct and/or Communication with a Minor by Technology, which are both Felony charges.

The affidavit states that on September 8th the Ponca City Police assigned Sgt. Benjamin Garrison to the case involving the Ponca City High School’s Wrestling program. According to the affidavit, police had reports of possible sexual happenings between Mat Maids at the high school and two of the wrestling coaches.

According to the affidavit, upon interviewing members of the Mat Maids, the police also learned of an occurrence that the Ponca city School District had already investigated involving a 17 year old.

The affidavit also states that this juvenile and wrestling coach Schickram, reportedly went to the coaches hotel room and used a massager on his bed in the room. This incident occurred in Sand Springs. The Mat Maids also stated that these happenings led to a sexual relationship between the coach and the 17 year old.

According to the affidavit, the teen told police that the coach contacted her on Snap Chat in January and they spent time together in the hotel room in Sand Springs and they used the massager on each other.

The affidavit also states that a week later Coach Schickram texted the teen about having sex. According to the affidavit, Coach Schickram picked her up at Taco Bell and they went somewhere random and had sex.

Reportedly the teen spoke to friends about this incident and the police confirmed this after interviews with friends the teen had confided in.

The affidavit states that Schickram was interviewed on September 16th and he admitted to letting the teen use a massager in his hotel room. He also stated that PCPS asked him to resign because of this occurrence.

According to the affidavit, Schickram also admitted to having sex with the teen. He confirmed that he picked her up at Taco Bell and went to the field near the YMCA or the RecPlex and they had sex in the back seat of his truck.

Schickram resigned when the investigation began and his bond is set at $50,000.

According to the affidavit, Wynn is accused of asking for nude photos from students. A student stated that Coach Wynn waited until she turned 18 and was of age and then sent her a request for nude pictures.

The affidavit states that the teen called Wynn’s wife and told her he was requesting these nude photos from the Mat Maids and that they would then make contact with the Board of Education.

According to the affidavit, this same teen spoke with Athletic Director, Jason Leavitt, and reported what had happened. Leavitt said to contact Mr. Layton, Human Resources, and after doing so, nothing ever came of the situation. The Mat Maids were recently disbanded.

The affidavit also states that Schickram was also questioned by police about Coach Wynn having served alcohol to teenagers and Coach Schickram told police that he, Coach Circle and Coach Lane Newlin and others all would drink in their room even though some were not 21 years old. At this time a bond amount has not been set or listed for Wynn.

Lastly, according to the affidavit, Circle is accused of having an Inappropriate Relationship with a 14 year old.

According to the affidavit, the teen alleges that Circle contacted her on Snap Chat and told the teen he wished she was of age, so they could have sex. Reportedly, the teen told police that she was a Mat Maid and that Circle was flirty with her and made several sexual comments.

The bond for Circle has been set at $50,000 and a bond hearing is scheduled for October 2nd.

The affidavit states that PCPS said in a statement that they were notified about the arrest warrants issued for the three former coaches and that immediate action has been taken. They also stated they are fully cooperating with the Ponca City Police Department.

The school district offered this quote pertaining to this situation.

“Nothing is more important than the safety and security of our students and employees and we will be vigilant in our efforts to protect them.”
