The Kay County Republican Party will be having its next meeting Thursday, September 24 at 7:00PM. The meeting location is in the First Luthe r an Church Fellowship Hall located on the corner of E. Liberty and Fourth Street (1104 N. Fourth Street). This month's Keynote Speaker is Ponca City School Superintende nt Shelley Arrott.

Arrott was named Superintende nt for Ponca City Public Schools and assumed the pos ition b eginning Fall of 2017. At that time she had been serving chase your tickets while they as the Executive Director of Human Resources and Teacher Leader Effectiveness. As Superintendent she brought with her 33 tota l years of serving as an educator in the state of Oklahoma, 22 of those years being right here in the Ponca City Public School systern. She has ser ved in various positions including Director of School Improvement, Curriculum Specia list, principal at Union Elementary and teacher. Arrott received her Bachelor of Science at Southwestern Oklahoma State Univer sity and a Master of Education from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Arrott has served on the Board of Dir ectors of Hospice of North Central Oklahoma and United Way. She is a member of the Cooperative Council of School Administrat ors and Oklahoma Association of School Personnel Administrators. She is marrie d to Josh Arrott, an employee at Phillips 66 Refinery, and has a son and da ughter -in-law, Tyler and Mary Forehand and granddaughter Ashlyn, all of Glenpool, Oklahoma. She a lso has a step-daughter, Jessica Arrott of Sugar Land.

Any Local and State officers who can attend the meeting will be given time to provide updates about community, county, state legislative discussions and/or decis ions as well. Ken Luttre l, Sheriff Steve Kelley, District Attorney Brian Hermanson, County Assessor Susan Keen, County Treasurer Chr isty Kennedy, County Clerk Tammy Reese, County Court Clerk Mar ilee Thornton, County Commissioners Dist. 1 Jack Godberson, Dist. 2 J ason Shanks, Dist. 3 J ohn Wilson.

We have been out of TRUMP 2020 s igns t he last few weeks, but now have received a new shipment. The signs will be available at the meeting.
