Beer, wine and spirits Bare now temporarily available to be delivered to your front door if you are an Oklahoman 21 years or older.

According to a newly amended executive order to help stop the spread of COVID-19, Governor Kevin Stitt and the Oklahoma ABLE Commission will now allow delivery of alcoholic beverages until April 17.

Local breweries and wineries are allowed to deliver their own alcoholic beverages in original sealed containers. Liquor stores can deliver beer, wine and spirits to legal consumers. Licensed restaurants, grocery stores, bars, clubs and convenience stores may deliver original sealed packages of beer and wine.

Third party vendors are not on the list though and are prohibited from delivering alcohol. These are businesses such as Door Dash, Drizzly and Uber Eats.

One stipulation is that no online payments are allowed. Sellers must take payments on delivery in the form of cash, check or transportable credit/debit card processors in the form of a square reader.

In the Ponca City area, liquor stores I spoke with that are doing delivery services at this time are The Bottle Shop and Oscar and Essie’s.

“We are doing curbside pickup and delivery. We are offering both,” said cashier Nicole Birch.

“At this time our sales are pretty much staying the same and we are open.” Old West Liquors are not offering delivery services until they receive their square reader in the mail.

“We are currently offering curbside pickup and the store is open. It is sanitized and we are wiping everything down. Our business hours are on Monday-Saturday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m,” said store manager Teri Stanbrough.
