2020 has shown itself to be a difficult year for many, COVID-19 has altered the way of life for everyone globally and the pressures of quarantine can weight heavily.

This year, the Ponca City Chamber of Commerce is asking for citizens to email their favorite Ponca City Christmas memories to be shared on the Ponca City Chamber website and entered into a drawing for a Ponca City gift basket.

“I’m trying to lift peoples’ spirits during this holiday time of year,” said Chamber President Rich Cantillon.

The Christmas memory should be up to 80 words and can be emailed to one of the following: rich@poncacitychamber.com, tiffany@poncacitychamber.com or zach@poncacitychamber.com.

The drawing will take place on Friday, Dec. 18.

An example of a Christmas memory provided by Cantillon is as follows:

My favorite Christmas memory is at my mom and dad’s. Pam and I, with our kids, would go to their house on Christmas Eve. We would have dinner first. Then take the kids looking for Santa. When we came back, surprise, Santa had come. We would open gifts and enjoy family time. Then end the evening with Midnight Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
