CRS Recovery - At 8:44 am on Dec. 6, a white Honda Accord with OK tag LOA746 has been at 2408 Oriole for a couple days and the reporting party found a wallet outside the vehicle on the ground. Reporting party requested an officer for found property and a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle was stolen. Unable to contact with the owner. Action Towing took possession of the vehicle. Officer #35 removed the vehicle from NCIC and advised the owner that her vehicle was recovered.

Runaway Return - Reporting party called for options on a possible child abuse situation at 9:21 am. Officer #19 responded and located a runaway juvenile: Noah McBride, 09/2008. #19 took the juvenile out of NCIC.

Standby - At 11:02 am, DHS was in a white Chevy Malibu for an investigation. Officers located Nathan Straughn, 02/1989 at Klinger’s Collision at 521 Monument Road and went prisoner in custody with Straughn for confirmed Kay County warrants in reference to domestic x2 (felony).

Options - At 11:43 am, the reporting party requested an officer to check the gate on the north side of the road at Prospect and Union and see if he shut the gate. Reporting party said the cows will get out if he doesn’t. Officer #29 closed the gate.

Theft/Shoplifting - At 11:58 am at Hobby Lobby, reporting party called in reference to a male shoplifting. Male was wearing a black Carhart jacket and sunglass, he was accompanied by a female wearing a black leather jacket and black pants. Male was then at the Health World store next to Hobby Lobby.

Female was in the parking lot in a red or maroon Chevy Equinox leaving southbound in the parking lot toward Dollar Tree. Vehicle and subjects were gone on arrival. Officer #28 took information for a report.

Fire - At 12:33 pm, the fire department responded to a sanitation truck on fire at 14th and Highland in the northbound lane, north of the intersection. Officers responded for traffic control. Officer #35 took information for a report.

Runaway Child - 911 reporting party requested an officer in reference to a runaway juvenile, Noah McBride. Advised that he refused to get in the vehicle with her at between Lowes and Stuteville Chevrolet at 2:08 pm. Male was wearing a black short sleeve hoodie and black sweats. Last seen walking near the sidewalk near Knight. Male then ran across the street, southbound down 14th. Reporting party was in the parking lot of La Quinta and pulling out. Both are in the parking lot. Juvenile got back in the car with his mother.

Accident - A two vehicle accident occurred in the roadway at 400 S. 14th at 2:58 pm between a gray/brown truck and a white truck. No injuries.

Runaway Return - Runaway returned, Katelyn Burtram. Subject was removed NCIC.

Reckless Driver - A dark blue GMC was swerving in and out of traffic, northbound on 14th and Hartford at 4:02 pm.

Reckless Driver - At 4:18 pm, a silver Toyota Forerunner was swerving all over the road at Highland and Waverly. Last seen headed northbound. All units advised.

Vandalism - Reporting party requested an officer in reference to someone cutting up his Christmas lights at 744 N. 14th. Officer advised that the reporting party wanted an extra patrol. Also advised it could have been an animal.

Attempt to Locate - A silver Chevy HHR 4-door with tag CNZ130 was stolen from the McCord area. Possibly driven by a Damon Chaney and was possibly at 609 W. Broadway. Vehicle was entered NCIC. All officers advised, the vehicle was not at that address.

Runaway Return - Kaw Nation Police Department requested an officer to make contact with two runaways: Seth Logan, 14-years old and Katelyn Logan, 13-years old. They are with their 18-year old brother Elijah Logan. He is not allowed to have them. Juveniles were located and their mother picked them up.
