The Ponca City Public School District has received a sizeable donation of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) from Phillips 66-Ponca City Refinery to further show their partnership during the pandemic. The donation included 6,000 bottles of hand sanitizer and 200 face shields.

Ponca City School Superintendent Shelley Arrott said, “On behalf of the Board of Education, the District, and our entire community, I would like to thank Phillips 66 for supporting a safe reopening of our schools! We are so fortunate to have such amazing support from our community partners. We could not do what we do without them!”

“Phillips 66 prides itself on a strong safety culture and greatly supports educational opportunities in our community,” said Erin Lib erton, Community Relations Coordinator for Ponca City Refinery. “Supporting our local school system with this donation helps support a safe reopening of the school and is our way of further showcasing these values.”

Bart Snyder, Emergency Response Lead for the Ponca City Refinery, was instrumental in the procurement of the PPE for the school system. In receiving the donation, Bret Smith, Executive Director of Operations for Ponca City Public Schools stated, “We are grateful for Phillips 66 and their support of our district. This donation will go a long way in our effort to keep our kids and staff safe as we work through these challenging times. We appreciate strong partners like Phillips 66 and cannot thank them enough for their efforts in helping to keep our kids safe.”
