The Ponca City Police Department has identified the victim from last Friday’s fire on the 800 block of North Palm street’s fire as Matthew Seth Nuttle Sr., 31, Ponca City.

The fire had occurred early last Friday morning and Nuttle was pulled from the burning house, he was then transported to Alliance Health and pronounced dead at that time.

According to Captain Randy Tyner, the medical examiner is still investigating the cause of death and the State Fire Marshall is also still investigating the cause of the fire.

Nuttle was a father of six children and according to the Ponca City Police they did respond to two domestic calls at the address just hours before the fire. The mother of the six children decided to take their kids and herself to stay elsewhere shortly before the fire happened.

Nuttle’s funeral was set for Wednesday and the cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner in 4-6 weeks. A GoFundMe Account has been setup for the family and the link is www.gofundme.com/f/nuttle-family.
