Nov 3rd Election Focus of Kay GOP

The Kay County Republican Party October meeting is scheduled for Thursday, October 22nd at 7:00PM. The meeting location is in the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall located on the corner of E. Liberty and Fourth Street (1104 N. Fourth Street). This month the KCRP welcome Newkirk Mayor Brian Hobbs as the meeting keynote speaker. Also on the agenda is KCRP Chairman John Happ and KCRP State Committeeman David Zimmerman, who will provide information about the two state questions and the Initiative and Referendum Process that will be on the November 3rd ballot.

Keynote Speaker “Mayor Brian Hobbs” stated that he is proud to share that he is “First, a follower of Christ”. Hobbs is very active in our state promoting conservative values and previously served as a campaign manager during the 2016 election. He also was a candidate for Dist. 38 House of Representatives in the 2018 election. He is an Entrepreneur, business and ranch owner and a U.S. Army Veteran. Brian and his wife Emily have been happily married for 18 years and are blessed with ten children (with six still in the home).

Those local and state officers who can attend the meeting will be on hand to provide updates about community, county, state legislative decisions, bills, etc. They Include: State Sen. Bill Coleman, Rep. Ken Luttrel, Sheriff Steve Kelley, District Attorney Brian Hermanson, County Assessor Susan Keen, County Treasurer Christy Kennedy, County Clerk Tammy Reese, County Court Clerk Marilee Thornton, County Commissioners Dist. 1 Jack Godberson, Dist. 2 Jason Shanks, Dist. 3 John Wilson.
