The city of Blackwell’s 8th Annual “Night of Lights” Lighted Christmas Parade will be held on Monday, Dec. 7th at 6:30 p.m.

For those who are in the parade, the line-up will begin at 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Main and Dewey. The Blackwell Chamber of Commerce asks that all entries be lighted and display an appropriate Christmas theme and that no candy be thrown from your float. Walkers may hand out candy or treats. If you are interested in having a float of your own in the Lighted Christmas Parade, please call the Chamber office at 580-363-4195 to register your entry.

The Chamber will have Santa Claus there at the end of the parade and they respectfully ask that there will be no other Santa in the parade. Immediately following the parade, everyone is welcome to join together at the Blackwell Fairgrounds for the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree. Santa will be outside near the tree for photo opportunities with the children right after the parade.

Due to Covid-19 precautions, Santa will not be visiting with each child as he has done in the past, so please do not ask him to do so.

Blackwell United Outreach will be sponsoring a ‘hot beverages” trailer in front of the Fairgrounds Event Center as a fundraiser. Please stop by, warm up and support this community organization.
