The Ponca City Getting Ahead in a Just-Getting-By-World Website is up and running. This is a poverty initiative provided by Albright United Methodist Church.

Getting Ahead is designed to assist persons in or near poverty from across the community to identify where they are now, identify resource needs, make goals and create a plan for getting out of poverty. What they discover will be shared with the community service providers and governments in an effort to make Ponca City a place where everyone lives well.

The website is https://www.sites.google.com/view/pcokga.

Navigation is the three bars in the left hand corner of the page.

The target launch date for the Getting Ahead workshops is January 2021. The brochure is on the website and the first workshop series will have 10-12 participants.

There is also a Free Online Challenges in Poverty Conference that all interested parties may still register for by going to the link:

Be sure to look at the agenda and sign up for the breakout sessions for each day. For any more information about the Getting Ahead program please call Vicki Wasson, GA Facilitator, at 580-763-3223.
