In an effort to streamline the Ponca City Public Schools Virtual Student meals, the process for meal pick-up has been adjusted to provide students and their families easier and quicker access to meals.

Beginning Tuesday, September 15, meals will be available to students to be pickedup on the 7th Street side of the Senior High School, near Overbrook.

MEALS MUST BE ORDERED DAILY BEFORE 2:00 P.M. by calling Tamra Raulston at 580-718-3830 at the CNP office.

Meals may be picked-up between 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. daily.

The USDA recently issued a waiver allowing schools participating in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) to move to the Summer Food Service Program, allowing ALL students to eat at no charge for both breakfast and lunch.

According to CNP Director Jeff Denton, “This unprecedented move was made to assist in providing meal services to students across the nation until December 31, 2020 or until the funding is gone. As a district, we determined it was in our student’s best interest to move to the Summer Food Service Program as it would be beneficial to many families and also allow us to have a program in place for meals during a shut down. After this time, we will return to the NSLP and School Breakfast Program where students will receive their meals based on their free, reduced or full-pay eligibility from income applications submitted at enrollment.”

The program will be begin Tuesday, September 15 and will include both breakfast and lunch meals.

Families are encouraged to continue to submit free and reduced applications for meals to be in place when charging for meals returns.
