City Commission candidates to speak at Kay GOP

The Kay County Republican Party will be holding its next meeting this Thursday evening January 28th at 7PM. The location of the meeting is in the First Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall which is on the NE corner of E. Liberty and North 4th street (across from the Lutheran School facilities.)

This months meeting will feature the two Ponca City Commissioner Seat #4 Candidates, Robert Bodick and Terron Liles. The date for this special election is scheduled for February 9th, 2021.

Robert Bodick is a 20 year retired disabled veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a Law Enforcement Specialist K9 handler, Special Operations, Flight Chief along with other roles. He moved to Oklahoma in July 2008 along with his wife and family. Since being in Ponca City he has served on various boards, Marland Mansion Board and the Ponca City Police Foundation, past president of Ponca City Noon Lions and current 3NW District Governor for the State of Oklahoma for Lions Club International. He’s a proud Life member of both the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the NRA. He’s an alumni of both the Ponca City and Kay County citizens Police/Sheriff academies, and an active member of his church where he serves as well.

Terron Liles is an active member and volunteer as well and is or has served in positions of many local organizations and services in our community. Some of them are, Allocations Committee Member of Ponca City United Way, North Central Oklahoma Hospice Fundraising Co-Chair, Marland Mansions Estate Foundation Board Member and Marland Mansion Gala Chairman, Kay County Opportunity Center Board Member, and as Vice President Elect for City Main Street. Liles has received Awards and Achievements beginning with Leadership Ponca City for years 2011-12 2017- 18, the Larry Hughes Leadership Award from The Ponca City Chamber of Commerce, State Hero Award from the Oklahoma Main Street Organization, and Class Member of the Oklahoma Achievers Under 40 group. Terron is also a partial owner in a family owned retail business Liles and Company located in downtown Ponca City.

KCRP State Committee Man David Zimmerman will give an overview presentation on the recent questioning of the results of the November Presidential Election and provide information to support his theory as to what happened. State Senator Bill Coleman, State Representative Ken Luttrel, District Attorney Brian Hermanson, Sheriff Steve Kelly and other local and county officers will be on hand giving reports and providing updates from their offices.
