The Ponca City Main Street (PCMS) organization held their Casino Grand special event on Friday, Aug. 5 from 7 pm to 11 pm. The event was held in the Summit room at City Central located at 400 E. Central Ave. and featured a variety of casino games including craps, poker, roulette, and blackjack. (Photo by Calley Lamar) 

 

The third Down by Downtown (DXDT) event of this summer was held on Friday, Aug. 5. The event featured musical guests Rigby Summer and Hattie Lloyd. Theses events are located at Central Fare and are held on the first Fridays of the month. The next and final DXDT for this year will be on Sept. 2. (Photos by Calley Lamar)

Hospice of North Central Oklahoma and the Ponca City Senior Center hosted a Health Fair in the Carolyn Renfro Center on Friday, Aug. 5 from 1 pm to 3 pm. The event featured several vendors in the health and medical fields. A variety of vendors were present at the event including Veteran’s Landing, Alliance Home Health, Via Christi, Hearing Group, AllianceHealth Ponca City, the Noon Lions Club, and more. Marland’s Place held their Second Annual Family Fun Day on Saturday, Aug. 6. The day’s events included many activities including two regular bounce houses and one obstacle course bouncer, a petting zoo by New Life Trails, a Doodle Academy Chalk Art trailer, Noon Lions Vision screeningtrailer, and free face painting.
