Area woman faces charges

Cassy JoJon Bliss, 33, was arrested on July 2, 2020 at her residence in Newkirk and arrested on charges of distribution of CDS, child neglect, conspiracy, distribution of CDS, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are kept or sold, possession of drug proceeds, possession of a firearm while in the commission of a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and aggravated trafficking.

According to the affidavit, Ron Teel, an agent with the 8th District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force and a task force officer with the DEA, along with Agent Mike Garcia, deputies with the Kay County Sheriff’s Office, Ponca City Police Department and the Blackwell Police Department served a daytime knock and announce search warrant at the property of 7901 Peckham Road.

According to the affidavit, Cassy Bliss and a male subject were found in a bedroom. Two children, ages 10 and five, were in a back bedroom.

The affidavit states that a search of an ammo can found clear plastic bags containing a crystal like substance, weighing 650 grams and another weighing 442 grams, glass smoking devices, a bag containing 420 blue pills, identified as counterfeit oxycodone and 8 yellow pills identified as Diazepam.

An officer searched the male subject’s vehicle and found three bags containing methamphetamine. The male admitted to having four ounces inside his vehicle and delivering two ounces of methamphetamine to Stillwater.

The affidavit states that Bliss admitted to selling from her residence for a few months and that all the methamphetamine was hers. Bliss also said the blue pills were hers, but only sold a few because they might be fake and people were dying from them. Bliss also said she used her car to travel to Oklahoma City to pick up large amounts of methamphetamine.

According to the affidavit, $6,363 was found upon the search of her vehicle and $1,567 was found in her bedroom. Upon the search of the safe in the garage, of which Bliss provided the combination to, eight guns, glass smoking devices and 10 hydrocodone pills were also found.

The two children were taken into custody and released to DHS.

Bliss is currently being held in Kay County Detention Center and has a $500,000 bond.
