NEWKIRK — A motion to revoke bond was filed in Kay County District Court on Tuesday against Gary Martin Young, former Peckham School Superintendent, after allegedly violating the terms of his bond.
Young appeared in court on Dec. 18 and was charged with three counts of lewd or indecent acts to a child under 16, two counts of cause/procure/permit injury or sex abuse to a child and one count of Blackwell.
Bond was set at $50,000.
Stipulations of his bond included being on house arrest with the exception of attending medical appointments, religious services and meetings with his attorney, Mack Martin, in Oklahoma City. He was restricted from entering Peckham and was to submit to daily, in home, alcohol monitoring, daily check-ins and have no contact with any of the witnesses.
According to the state, Young violated his bond on two separate occasions at the Blackwell Walmart on Dec. 22, 2019 and on Jan. 6, 2020.
The court order states, “In addition to being in a location that he is not to be, one of his juvenile victims works at this Walmart and it is known by Young that this juvenile victim works at this Walmart.”
The Oklahoma Board of Education met in August of 2019 and voted to suspend Young’s teaching and superintendent certificate after officials received several reports of sexual abuse by Young.
There are four victims of the alleged incidents, according to the court affidavit.
Young was previously scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 13.
