Marland’s Grand Home celebrates Oklahoma Museums Week, March 14-20

The state of Oklahoma is home to over five hundred museums and cultural organizations. These institutions and agencies of scientific discovery and culture serve as centers for preservation, presentation and interpretation of Oklahoma’s heritage. In celebration of Oklahoma’s Museum Week, March 14 to 20, the historic 1916 Marland Grand Home in Ponca City, Oklahoma, will be highlighting its exhibits and displays as a fascinating tour experience for the public to enjoy.

Tonkawa Processing, Corp receives CARES Act grant dollars

TONKAWA, OK – Brian Lane and wife, Theresa “Boogie” (McAninch) purchased Tonkawa Meat from Betty Bradford and Patsy and Rusty Glenn on May 13, 2020, renaming it Tonkawa Processing, Corp. In late July, Governor Kevin Stitt appropriated $10 million in federal funds from the CARES Act to the Oklahoma Dept. of Agriculture, Food and Forestry with the goal of expanding meat processing capacity and addressing supply chain disruptions across the state as a result of the COVID-19 public health emergency.
