CENTENARIANS OF OKLAHOMA was proud to honor Darlene Gore of Ponca City on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration and induct her into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame. Darlene is a lifelong Kay County resident. Her key to living to 100 is watching Western Movies, playing bridge, bingo, dominoes, and staying active. The Kay County Free Fair held the 1st Annual Kay County Fair Pageant sponsored by Kay County 4-H Thursday, September 16, 2021. Participants age divisions were 4 through 18 years old. Bird Lands in Ponca City, Starting September 27!

The City of Ponca City is pleased to announce the Los Angeles, California-based, shared electric scooter company, Bird Rides, is bringing e-scooters to Ponca City in the coming days. Just in time for fall, Bird is a naturally social distanced way to get around. The scooters are available through a mobile phone application and riders pay to use the scooter per minute, at no cost to the City.

Ponca City Church Storehouse Ministry received a shipment of 26 pallets with around 68,000 bottles of University Medical Pharmaceuticals Antibacterial Hand Soap, the 8 oz. size, Thursday, September 16, 2021. Dale Henshaw said, “If any organization is in need contact them immediately, a distribution date will be announced at a later date for individuals and the general public.”
