The cat of the week this week is Purrito. Purrtio is just over a year old and has been at Northern Oklahoma Humane Society since Sept. 30. This beautiful gray Tabby female who is looking for her new home. Purrito tends to be a little shy when meeting new people, but don’t let that timidness fool you, she loves attention. Purrito is a very tolerant cat and didn’t bat an eyes when she was placed in her Bumble Bee Halloween costume. She is a night owl through and through and becomes more lively and playful after dark. Purrito is littertrained, seemingly quiet, and a very loving cat. All she needs now is a loving family to take her home.

Couple celebrates 50 years

Lester and Marlena Freeman recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by touring America’s National Parks of the west. They exchanged vows on June 10, 1972, at Longwood Baptist Church. They grew up in Ponca City, attending Garfield Elementary, East Jr. High, and Ponca City High School. They continued their education at Northern Oklahoma College and Oklahoma State University pursuing degrees in education. Mr. Freeman continued to receive advanced degrees from OSU.
