Since the publication of Mary Shelley’s novel in 1818, Frankenstein has had numerous film adaptations going so far back as the 1910 silent film made by Edison Productions, but the topic for today is one of the more bizarre and original approaches.
PONCA CITY, OKLAHOMA-The Doodle Academy will present The Makin’ Market, taking place on Grand Avenue in Downtown Ponca City. The hours will be from 1:00-4:00 every Saturday from Oct 10th until Christmas. It will feature artists, performance artists, crafters, bakers, and a plethora of other hand-made creations from our community.
Homecoming for Ponca City High School held a “Reverse Parade” beginning at 6:00 p.m. Thursday and lasting until 8:00 p.m. It is being called a “Reverse Parade” because the floats are stationary, and the spectators are the ones that will be moving. (Photos by Calley Lamar)

When an Indiana landowner encountered human remains after breaking ground for his home expansion, he called the coroner’s office. When the coroner determined the remains to be ancient, he called the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Division of Historic Preservation and Archaeology. When the historic preservation office got news of the burial site, they called researchers at the University of Indiana.
