The Phillips 66 - United Way 10th Annual Golf Tournament sets the pace for the 2020/2021 campaign. 192 golfers enjoyed a beautiful day at Wentz Golf Course on Friday, August 21st.

The event raised $61,472.00 for the 2020/2021 campaign that kicked off September 1st. Since inception the golf tournament has raised $598,891.00 for United Way of Ponca City and its partner agencies. “We really appreciate the commitment from the sponsors and dedication from the Phillips 66 organizing committee,” said Jason Johnson, United Way Campaign Chair. “This event sets the pace for our campaign and we are deeply grateful for their support.” This year’s campaign theme is “United Together.”

“Without the support of our community we wouldn’t be able to tackle the most pressing issues,” states Johnson.

The event started the evening before the tournament with a social gathering at Ody’s, food was sponsored by Total Safety. The day of the event Melissa Young, United Way Executive Director, UW Staff, Partner Agency Directors, UW Board Members, UW volunteers and Phillips 66 Volunteers were on hand to help ensure the days outing was safe and fun for the golfers. Raffle prizes, golf tees and misc. items were donated by participating contractors. Lunch was donated by Ohmstede Industrial Services, Quality Water donated water and Farha provided snacks for the day. “This golf tournament wouldn’t be possible without the support of our contractors,” said Cunningham. “They are so giving to our community and know that their dollars are spent providing critical services to the area.”
