The Ponca City Federated Music Club invites the public to attend the Junior Music festival winners showcase at First United Methodist Church, Sunday, April 2 at 2 p.m. The showcase is the opportunity for the community to hear all of the local winners and for the students to prepare themselves for the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs (OFMC) competition on Saturday, April 29 in Ada, OK at East Central University.

There were 107 entries in the Junior Music festival on Saturday, February 11 at the First United Methodist Church. Entries included piano solos, guitar solo, vocal solos and duets and 2 vocal ensembles. Participants included students from Blackwell, Newkirk, Ponca City, Stillwater and Tonkawa. At the Showcase there will be 4 vocal duets, 8 vocal solos, 2 piano solos and 2 vocal ensembles. The age range is 7 to 18. Teachers whose students were the winners are: Angela Bunch, Amanda Cook, Edward Dixon, Suzi Lenhart, Claudia Mornhinweg and Shannon Varner.
