The Kay County Republican Party has set Thursday, June 25 at 7 p.m. as the date and time for our next meeting. This will be the first meeting we have had since February due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting will be held at First Lutheran Church “Fellowship Hall” located on the N.E. corner of E. Liberty and 4th Street in Ponca City. There is plenty of room for space seating and mask are also encouraged if concerned.

A full agenda is planned for the meeting with three different speakers and topics important for the times we are facing. First speaker is Brian Hobbs will speak on “Conservatism Today in Oklahoma and the United States”. Hobbs is currently serving as Mayor of Newkirk, an Entrepeneur, business and ranch owner. He first is a follower of Christ, is a U.S. Army Veteran, a Rancher, and actively working to further the Conservative movement in our state and nation, and has worked as campaign manager. Brian and his wife Emily have been happily married for seventeen years blessed with ten children (with six still in the home).

The second speaker is Terry Thompson who will share “Tips on Dealing with Today’s Crises & Dangers”, what to do if you are caught in a “Human Roadblock” and/or getting caught up in a “Riot”. Thompson is currently responsible and organizer, leader for the new Kay County OK-2A Chapter in Ponca City. Thompson lives in Tonkawa, his hometown where he returned to his roots in 2017 after leaving in 1954. He has been selfemployed for 30 yrs., lived in Albuquerque, Dallas, Phoenix, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City. Terry stated that he came home to Tonkawa for the Safety and Security it provided, because he saw first-hand how our country was changing and falling away from its Christian foundation of our Constitution and the values it represented. Terry said “Our Country is going to Hell”.
