Christopher L. and Melinda S. (Rich) LittleCook of Ponca City recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in Cody, Wyoming. They spent several days visiting Yellowstone National Park, and enjoyed all the natural beauty and wildlife the park had to offer.

Chris and Mindy were united in marriage on July 14th, 1990 in WhiteEagle, Oklahoma. The wedding was performed in a tipi with the late Reverend Thomas RoughFace officiating. Chris’ grandfather, the late Amos LittleCook, blessed the couple with a cedar ceremony. Following the wedding, a traditional meal was served to guests and family.

The couple made Ponca City their home in 1996. They have raised four sons; Ashton, Chase, Hunter, and Sean. Chris is employed with Ponca City Public Schools as Indian Education Director. He enjoys dancing at powwows, drawing and painting, sports, old trucks, reading, traveling, and community service. Mindy is employed with Ponca City Public Schools as an Art Instructor. She enjoys art, history, landscaping, traveling, reading and community service.
