The National Federation of Music Clubs celebrated the 97th annual National Music Week the first full week of May, the 3rd through the 10th. This special week highlights the importance of music as an art and a harmonious force, giving rich experience in human life. Without art and music, our life is empty.

The Ponca City Federated Music Club, a part of the National Federation of Music Clubs and Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs is proud to recognize the Junior Music festival winners 2020.

These students would have performed for the PCF Music Club program on April 4 as well as participated in the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs (OFMC) competition on Saturday, April 25 in Ada, OK at East Central University. However, due to the corona virus, both of these events were cancelled.

There were 121 entries in the Junior Music festival on Saturday, March 7 at the First United Methodist Church. Entries included piano solos, vocal solos and duets, recorder solos and duet, string solos and concertos and 3 vocal ensembles. Participants included students from Blackwell, Lamont, Newkirk, Ponca City, Stillwater and Tonkawa. The age range was 4 to 18.

The Ponca City Federated Music Club is a member of the Oklahoma Federation of Music Clubs and the National Federation of Music Clubs.
