US probes how $372 million vanished in hack after FTX bankruptcy

Federal prosecutors are investigating an alleged cybercrime that drained more than $370 million out of FTX just hours after the cryptocurrency exchange filed for bankruptcy last month. The Department of Justice has launched a criminal probe into the stolen assets that is separate from the fraud case against FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried, according to a person familiar with the case.

Open meeting violations led to arrests of four Billings School Board members

Authorities in Noble County have taken the unusual step of arresting and charging four school board members accused of violating the Open Meeting Act. The board members met multiple times outside of public meetings, including in June to hire a new superintendent, according to a court affidavit.

Hartford Avenue - NE Woodland Road to El Camino Street Closing January 3, 2023

Sober Brothers, Inc. has entered a contract with the City of Ponca City to reconstruct Hartford Avenue from NE Woodland Road to El Camino Street. Work will include the installation of a new 8-inch water line to replace the old deteriorated water line and reconstruction of the concrete pavement. This section of paving on Hartford Avenue was undermined by a large water main break which has severely damaged the pavement.

Governors’ TikTok bans make sense, cybersecurity experts say

At least 18 states, all led by Republican governors, have banned staffers’ use on government devices of the social media app TikTok over concerns about the possible security risks posed by the Chinese- owned company. They say the app can be used to collect data from users’ devices, which the Chinese government could then access.
