Northern Oklahoma Flight Academy announces plans for 2023 flight camp The Ponca City Aviation Booster Club will host their monthly fly-in breakfast on Saturday, March 4 from 7 am to 10 am. The breakfast is held on the first Saturday of each month and the menu is a traditional buffet-style breakfast that includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, hash browns, fresh fruit, coffee and orange juice.

The Centenarians of Oklahoma visited Via Christie in the afternoon on Friday, Feb. 24 to celebrate two residents that turned 100 over the weekend. . From left to right: Ina Belle (Barker) Marshall, and Helen (Reese) Head.

Ina Belle (Barker) Marshall was born on Feb. 25, 1923. She is a lifelong Methodist that volunteered at the Thrift Shop in Grove and at hospitals in Grove and Ponca City. She has traveled extensively and loves family gatherings, bridge, crafts, sewing and needlework, reading, ice cream, pie and skillet fried chicken. She is the 2822nd inductee.

NOC to transition cheer as a club level activity next year

At the Northern Oklahoma College Board of Regents meeting on Feb. 15, multiple budget-cutting strategies were presented to the Board in the budget reduction plan for the 2023-24 school year, including a plan to eliminate competitive cheer at both NOC Enid and NOC Tonkawa. The Board approved the budget reduction plan that was presented.
