Ponca City, OK — A Government Contracting Workshop is being held at City Central hosted by Dawn Brakey, the Bid Assistance Coordinator at Pioneer Technology Center. This training, scheduled for Wednesday, January 27th from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, is for businesses interested in exploring the government marketplace. The lunch and learn session will highlight similarities and differences between federal contracting and doing business at the state and local levels.

Paxton files election protection measure

OKLAHOMA CITY - Following one of the most controversial and debated elections in U.S. history, Senator Lonnie Paxton, R-Tuttle, has filed legislation to ensure the continued integrity of Oklahoma’s election system. Senate Bill 523 would prohibit any political subdivision, agency, or government official from entering into a legal agreement or court settlement prescribing election procedures that conflict with election law, which is both statutorily and constitutionally set by the Legislature.

Vandalism— A Manager requested an officer on Thursday at 11:52 a.m. to the La Quinta Inn on the 3400 block of north 14th street in reference to juveniles who were jumping fences and vandalizing property. An officer responded and two trespass warnings were issued to two juveniles, these citations were given to their mothers. A report was taken for Destruction of Property.
