For those going through separation or divorce, it may be much more difficult, learning to parent while living separately. Those wanting to know how to continue raising their children in a difficult situation can turn to the Kay County Extension office for co-parenting classes, helping their children’s mental and emotional states in a very stressful time.

Kay County remembers 82nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor

On the morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941, the Japanese military launched a surprise attack on the United States Naval Base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Before 8 am, a swarm of fighter planes descended on Pearl Harbor. During the attack and as the bombs were dropped, 20 naval ships, more than 300 planes, and more than 2,000 crew members’ lives were lost in the hour and fifteen minutes that the attack lasted.
