The lake is currently experiencing extreme flooding conditions. Most public access locations and boat ramps are closed due to high water. Many hazards exist for boaters. Only boaters with extensive familiarity of the lake should be on the water. Use extreme caution while boating or otherwise recreating on the lake at this time.

Additional Information:

Lake elevation is 6ft above normal, area has received 4-5 inches of rain in the last few days. Neosho and Spring Rivers swelled out of the banks. Paddlefish snagging has been slow-fair in some parts of the lake/Neosho River due to the high water levels. Elk River- East, toward the OK MO state line has had a lot of runoff fill into Grand Lake. Debris has come down the Neosho and Spring River(s) out of KS which has made the navigation of the waters tricky. Most of the fish bite has been slow due to the conditions.
