The Ponca City Lady Cats posted an easy 12-0 victory over Tulsa Edison Tuesday night at the West Middle School softball field.

The game was never close as Libby Clark pitched a three-inning no-hitter against Edison. The Lady Cats score four runs in the first, six in the second and two in the third before the game ended prematurely due to softball’s mercy rule.

Margaret Blackstar led the Lady Cats with three hits. Alex Zimmerschied and Taylor McMartin each had two hits wile Madelyn Blackstar and Allanah Florez each had one. Libby Clark and McMartin each had two RBIs, while Margaret Blackstar, Zimmerschied and Taylin Fry each had one.

Clark pitched all three innings. In addition to allowing no runs on no hits she struck out seven. There were only two Edison outs that didn’t come the strikeout route.

Ponca City will be playing in the Chickasha Tournament this weekend. The Lady Cats are scheduled to play Lawton at 11:30 a.m. Friday and Lawton MacArthur at 4 p.m. Friday.
